Job Requirement |
Lead the electrical design and development processes for various oil and gas projects, including but not limited to, power generation, distribution systems, and control systems. Utilize advanced software tools for electrical design and simulation. |
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and process engineers. |
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering within the oil and gas sector. |
Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize hazards associated with electrical systems. |
Drive innovation in electrical engineering practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of oil and gas operations. Evaluate and optimize existing electrical systems for performance improvements and cost savings. |
Serve as the primary electrical engineering point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients. Prepare and present technical reports, design documentation, and project updates. |
Implement quality control procedures for electrical designs, installations, and maintenance practices. Ensure adherence to ISO standards and other quality frameworks. |
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. |
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the oil and gas industry. |
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, SKM Systems Analysis). |
Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, API) and regulatory compliance requirements. |
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering projects. |
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. |
