Job Requirement |
Lead the design, specification, selection, and procurement of instrumentation systems, including sensors, detectors, and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. |
Conduct detailed engineering analyses and design evaluations for instrumentation systems to optimize performance and reliability. |
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate instrumentation systems effectively within broader project designs. |
Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality instrumentation components and systems on time and within budget. |
Develop and implement instrumentation calibration, testing, and maintenance procedures to ensure ongoing operational integrity and safety. |
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting instrumentation in the oil and gas industry, integrating innovative solutions where beneficial. |
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. |
Oversee the preparation of instrumentation documents, including datasheets, specifications, and installation procedures, ensuring accurate and clear communication of requirements. |
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. |
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in instrumentation engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. |
Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API) and regulatory compliance requirements specific to instrumentation in the oil and gas sector. |
Experience with modern instrumentation technologies and control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS. |
Proficient in using engineering software and tools for design and simulation. |
