Location Position Designation Job Summary The Junior Instrument Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation systems used in oil and gas extraction and processing facilities. This entry level position is aimed at individuals with a foundational understanding of engineering principles, eager to apply and expand their knowledge in a dynamic and challenging industry. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, the successful candidate will contribute to projects that ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. Job Requirement Assist in the design and specification of instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas projects, including sensors, detectors, and actuators. Support senior engineers in the preparation of instrument datasheets, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations. Participate in the development and maintenance of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) engineering documentation such as P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), loop diagrams, and installation details. Contribute to the implementation of industry standards and practices in all design activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to ensure the integration of the instrumentation systems with the overall plant design. Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) of instrumentation equipment. Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of the principles of instrumentation and control systems used in the oil and gas industry. Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
