Job Summary
A Senior Instrument Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, installation, and maintenance of various instruments and control systems within industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, refineries, or chemical processing facilities. Their duties typically involve leading a team of engineers, collaborating with other departments, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing processes for efficiency and safety, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing expertise in instrument selection and integration. They play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of instrumentation systems within their organization.
Job Requirement
• Develop studies and design of all electrical related work e.g. power generation transmission and distribution systems, coordination studies, etc
• Check the engineering deliverables for correctness and quality, marks-up any comments or revision on these documents and ensure that the changes are included and completed on the latest copies of all affected documents.
• Motivate project teams' personnel and to encourage across the functions involved in a project to maximize the productivity and morale of the project.
• Undertake any others duties as appropriate with their competency, as required by supervisor from time to time.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise major engineering work and activities of the oil and gas project.
• Must be computer literate and good in Microsoft office and engineering software i.e PDMS and Instrucalc.
