Location Position Designation Job Summary The Mechanical and Piping Designer is responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings of mechanical equipment and piping systems used in the oil and gas industry. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles, piping layouts, and the ability to use specialized computer-aided design (CAD) software. The designer will work within a team to develop designs that optimize the construction, installation, maintenance, and operation of oil and gas facilities. Job Requirement Develop and design piping systems and mechanical equipment layouts using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and incorporate these into design plans. Create detailed drawings, including dimensions, procedures, and required materials, to guide construction and assembly of mechanical systems and piping networks. Perform calculations to determine system specifications and requirements. Review and modify existing designs to improve efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations. Coordinate with other design and engineering teams to integrate piping and mechanical systems into overall project designs. Ensure all designs meet environmental, safety, structural, and client requirements. Proven experience in mechanical and piping design, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Strong proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to mechanical and piping designs in the oil and gas sector.
